The BEST Shawl
Pattern Details
The BEST Shawl (Beautiful. Easy. Simple. Timeless.) is a generously sized shawl, knit in one piece.
Whether you call it a scarf, a wrap or a shawl - this will be an elegant accessory to wrap around your neck and/or shoulders.
Construction Details
Pattern is clearly written, and includes detailed instructions for creating this reversible eyelet lace shawl. Length and width are easily customizable.
Sizes
One Size - Adult
Measurements
15” wide x 70” long
Materials
Yarn
650 yds DK/light worsted weight yarn
Needles
size 7 needles
Note: Although the wrap is knit flat, I prefer to use 24” circular needles, which hold the weight of my knitting, as it gets larger and heavier.
Misc
Stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle
Gauge
5 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch
Change needles size as necessary, for accurate gauge!
Note: Shawl was intentionally knit at a loose gauge, for a soft and drapey fabric.
Required skills
Casting on, knitting, increasing (yo), decreasing (k2tog) and binding off.
Listing is for a downloadable pdf version of the pattern, only.
